​The Grove Park – Sunset Mountain Neighborhood Association (GPSMNA) is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to preserving and enhancing the unique character of our historic neighborhood. Recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity by the Internal Revenue Service, GPSMNA focuses on fostering community engagement, maintaining public spaces, and advocating for residents' interests. ​

Our Mission
GPSMNA strives to:​

Represent: Amplify the voices of our residents amidst a rapidly evolving cityscape, ensuring that community concerns are heard and addressed.​

Maintain: Oversee the upkeep of four expansive public parks and numerous traffic islands, ensuring these communal areas remain inviting and well-maintained.​

Preserve: Safeguard the architectural integrity of iconic buildings and historic homes, honoring the rich heritage of our neighborhood.
Our Parks
Our neighborhood is fortunate to encompass three public parks:​

E.W. Grove Park: Established in 1909, this park was designed by Chauncey Beadle and has undergone extensive restoration to reflect its original vision.​

Griffing Boulevard Rose Garden: Revitalized in 2021, the garden features restored walkways, new plantings, and an irrigation system, enhancing its beauty and accessibility.​

Sunset Parkway: Currently under rejuvenation, plans are underway to restore and enhance this cherished green space for community enjoyment.​
Community Engagement
Throughout the year, GPSMNA organizes various events to foster community spirit, including:​

Tour of Homes: An annual showcase inviting residents and visitors to explore the architectural beauty of our neighborhood's homes.​

June Potluck and July Yard Sale: Community gatherings that strengthen neighborly bonds and support local initiatives.​
